The weekly magazine "stern" awarded the Masterflex Group in the "Plastics" category for its commitment to Germany as a business location and thus also for its globally recognised quality seal "made in Germany".
This is the result of a study commissioned by "stern". Together with the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI), the magazine investigated why companies produce in Germany, even though work is cheaper almost everywhere in the world than in Germany and many large corporations move their factories around the globe in order to produce at the most attractive conditions possible.
For the study, the 5,000 strongest employees from a total of 3.5 million companies were filtered out and invited to a written survey. According to the magazine, more than 300 companies took part in the survey. Finally, 173 of them earned the award for the fact that essential production steps, which are responsible for the typical properties of the products, take place exclusively in Germany.
