Hot air and dryer hoses for the plastics processing industry

Master-NEO 1/2 and Master-SIL 1/2 hoses from Masterflex AG are special-purpose hoses that have proven themselves, among other things, in the plastics processing industry for conveying hot and cold air in a temperature range from -35 °C to +300 °C.
Wherever air or gaseous media with high intrinsic or ambient temperatures are conveyed, Master-NEO 1/2 or Master-SIL 1/2 hoses find their classic areas of application.
The vulcanized hoses are manufactured from silicone or neoprene-coated glass fabrics on state-of-the-art equipment. They are characterized by an exceptionally long service life and thus offer the user long production cycles without major downtimes and thus potential savings in terms of production costs. Thanks to their symmetrical folding behavior and outstanding flexibility, the hoses can be installed quickly and easily in any installation situation, thus enabling the user to achieve short machine set-up times. The hoses can withstand continuous temperatures of up to +135 °C (Master-NEO 1/2) and +250 °C (Master-SIL 1/2).
Applications for Master-NEO 1/2 and Master-SIL 1/2 hoses
Typical applications for these special hoses include granulate drying systems in the plastics processing industry. Plastic granules often still have a high residual moisture, which must be removed from the granules before further processing. Hot, moist air is removed from the drying units by means of the special Master-NEO 1/2 or Master-SIL 1/2 hoses.
However, the hoses also find their optimum application in vehicle and aircraft construction, in the paper and chemical industries, and in the field of engine construction. When supplying air to the engines, the hoses are often used as a connecting piece between the intake filter and the engine. Fixed lengths with spiral-free ends are generally used.
Production capacities increased
Due to the steadily growing demand for the high-quality Master-NEO 1/2 and Master-SIL 1/2 hoses, Masterflex AG has further expanded its manufacturing and storage capacities for these product lines. The common nominal diameters from DN 13 to DN 305 can be supplied from stock within 24 hours in single- or double-layer versions. Suitable connecting elements such as hose clamps, hose connectors and reducers as well as spiral-free end sleeves are of course also part of Masterflex AG's supply and production program.
