FAKUMA 2012 - Masterflex will be there as well

As the largest trade fair for plastics in the German-speaking region, FAKUMA will once again be a top-class industry meeting place for many exhibitors from the fields of raw materials, processing machines, peripherals, automation solutions and C-technology.

Masterflex AG from Gelsenkirchen will also be using this platform to present its expertise in the field of plastics technology. Interested visitors will be able to find out more about Masterflex's product range in Hall A3, at Booth 3113.

Especially for FAKUMA, Masterflex will be presenting suction and transport hoses tailored to the industry for conveying granulate in vacuum conveying systems. The templine® heated hose, which is used in coextrusion, is another focal point of the trade fair. The Master-PUR Inline, with extremely smooth inner wall for highly abrasive solids, drying hoses such as the Master-NEO and Master SIL, and Protect elbows for use in pneumatic systems, round off the package.

The Master-PUR suction and transport hose, which is offered in wall thicknesses L (light), H (medium) and HX (heavy, with targeted spiral reinforcement), is particularly suitable for suctioning abrasive solids, coarse-grained and gaseous or liquid media. It is made of polyester polyurethane and is characterized by its highly abrasion-resistant inner wall, thus offering reduced wear and long service life. Particularly when conveying granulates, these properties benefit the vacuum-resistant hose. Long downtimes due to material wear in production plants can thus be avoided.

The Master-PUR Inline, a suction and conveying hose made of polyurethane, differs from the Master-PUR hose in its absolutely smooth inner wall. It can be used for very abrasive materials to be conveyed and, thanks to its smooth inner wall, offers hardly any surface for deposits to attack. It is used wherever easy-to-clean hose inner surfaces are required. In addition, this hose type offers optimum flow properties due to its wall properties, which have a positive effect on the service life of the hose.

Masterflex drying hoses, such as the Master-NEO or Master-SIL, are particularly suitable for applications in which the transport of air and gaseous media with a high intrinsic or ambient temperature must be ensured. The Master-SIL and Master-NEO are used especially in plastics processing as hot-air hoses for granulate drying. Both hose variants are also available as double-layer variants for increased mechanical requirements. The Master-NEO withstands temperatures of up to 150 °C, while the Master-SIL withstands temperatures of up to 300 °C.

The templine® heated hose system covers the application area of coextrusion, in which the merging of plastic melts takes place. In the templine® heated hose, the inner medium-carrying hose is covered with four heating conductors and fixed by a temperature-resistant braiding. The ingenious design of the braided layers demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and always nestles seamlessly against the medium hose when bent or twisted (torsion). Thus, the templine® heating hose can be bent up to 360° and is extremely flexible without causing any heat loss. Due to the system, the yarn layers permanently pull the heating cables into surface contact with the hose. Due to the special braiding, a uniform heat envelope can build up around the medium hose. The reduction in energy consumption compared with conventional systems is up to 30%.

Masterflex Protect elbows are used, for example, in granulate conveying systems or pneumatic conveying systems in which extremely abrasive conveying media have to be transported. Thanks to the interaction of the special internal geometry and the material used, the PU-lined elbow offers very long service life, excellent abrasion resistance, low pressure losses and low risk of clogging. This protects the elbow, the downstream pipe and the material being conveyed.

Masterflex offers the appropriate connection and joining elements for all products in order to provide the customer with an individual complete solution. Competent, customer-oriented and everything from a single source.
