Masterflex SE in Gelsenkirchen again took part in the nationwide "Girls' & Boys' Day" this year. The aim of this event is to inform interested young people about the operational process in a company.
A total of six 9th grade students from the Gelsenkirchen Buer-Mitte comprehensive school took part. In the run-up to the event, the four commercial and two industrial trainees of Masterflex at the Gelsenkirchen site had worked out a company rally with questions on individual departments such as purchasing, logistics, sales, marketing and production. Some of the questions were, for example, "Who combines three superpowers at Masterflex?", "What does the "SE" in our name mean?" or "How many subsidiaries does Masterflex SE have?". So the participants had a lot of fun mastering the questions by "asking" their way through the company and getting the right answers in the departments.
After evaluating the questionnaires, it was clear that all participants had made a great effort and gained many informative, exciting but also fun insights.
"That was a super day. When I'm done with school, I want to apply!" were the words of one participant. And that is exactly our intention: Masterflex wants to use the opportunity of the Girls' & Boys' Day to show that technology is fun.
