Masterflex AG, Gelsenkirchen, Germany, has expanded its Combiflex hose connection system to include certified parts for use in the food industry.
The connecting parts - made of a special cast polyurethane and matched to the special hoses from the Master PUR Food series - have been independently certified, as have the hoses used. This makes it possible to offer the user a hose line, including connection fittings, made of food-grade materials. The cast elastomer has been tested and approved for dry, aqueous, acidic, fatty and alcoholic (<10% alcohol by volume) foods, at a contact time of 24h and up to 40°C contact temperature.
