Gelsenkirchen, June 7, 2006. Masterflex AG will present the Cargobike cargo cab at the 16th international energy conference "World Hydrogen Energy Conference" from June 13 to 16, 2006 in Lyon, France.
The Cargobike will be exhibited at the joint stand of the Hychain partners. The transnational HYCHAIN MINITRANS project aims to demonstrate innovative and sustainable alternatives to the heavily oil-dependent transport industry. Early markets will be identified and deployment opportunities for selected transportation applications will be created. HYCHAIN MINITRANS includes in particular the operation of 150 fuel cell powered small and light vehicles as well as the production, storage and logistic distribution of hydrogen. The Ruhr region in Germany was selected as one of the European test regions. Also involved are the greater Grenoble area (France), Modena (Italy) and Castilla y Leon (Spain). Masterflex AG plans to deploy at least forty of its "Cargobike" cargo cabs in the four regions.
After Montreal in 2002 and Yokohama in 2004, the 16th World Hydrogen Energy Conference is being organized this time by the French hydrogen association AFH2 under the auspices of the international hydrogen energy association IAHE and in cooperation with the European hydrogen association EHA.
