The meeting was initiated by the CEFU (Center for Corporate Development) Lounge, a platform of the Technical University (TU) of Dortmund that aims to strengthen networking between science and business in the Dortmund region.
Masterflex is part of this important network that brings research and business closer together.
On Tuesday evening, Masterflex also hosted a select group of CEFU members. CEO Dr. Andreas Bastin described the company's journey from a small hose manufacturer to an internationally active global market leader. His impulse lecture on the challenges of our time led to an exciting exchange between science and the company side. This was followed by a short tour of the plant.
As a board member not only of Masterflex SE, but also recently of CEFU e.V., Dr. Bastin has his sights set on a number of things: "I would like to further develop the good idea of CEFU and expand the network to include specialists and managers." Access to university opportunities, personnel support, and continuing education opportunities are also available through the CEFU network.
Bastin: "I see a lot of opportunities for us in this."
