For more than 20 years, the Junge Messe has been a popular meeting place for training companies and future school graduates to get to know each other. Matzen & Timm presented itself for the 3rd time at the renowned and meanwhile largest training fair in the region. In the foyer and in the three large multi-purpose halls of the "Tribühne", on September 9 and 10, a total of around 50 training companies presented about 70 different job profiles.
What has made the fair so successful over two decades is also the concept that the companies send their trainees to the stands. Some trainees even help to organize the entire trade fair presentation for their company. In this way, potential applicants learn first-hand and almost from their peers what to expect if they should decide on this or that career path. Matzen & Timm apprentices Christopher Hein (industrial clerk, 3rd year) and Niklas Baggendorf (industrial clerk, 1st year) also advised apprenticeship applicants at the Junge Messe. They were supported by experienced colleagues from the globally active manufacturer of hoses and connection solutions for the aviation industry, among others. In addition to industrial clerks, Matzen & Timm also offers training for warehouse logistics specialists. The next training round will start on August 1, 2017.
But it was not only apprenticeships that were in demand at the Junge Messe: "There was also a lot of interest in internships," says Daniel Runz, training officer for commercial professions at Matzen & Timm. "Due to the high demand, we will not be able to offer business internships again until fall 2017," says Runz. Those who would like to do a student internship at Matzen & Timm can still do so primarily in the warehouse and logistics area.
