What does it mean to develop your own business idea? And to actually put it into practice? 20 pupils at the Willy Brandt School in Norderstedt (near Hamburg), Germany, took part in the “Business for a week” project organised by the non-profit association “Futurepreneur e.V.”. During the four days, the project’s goal was to spark the pupils’ entrepreneurship and spirit of enterprise. Dirk Baumann, Managing Director of Matzen & Timm (A Masterflex Group Company), provided them with a vital insight into business practice: “A great exchange and interaction”, said Baumann. “Many young people have no idea how much untapped potential they have”. Based on their own interests and skills, each pupil developed a personal business idea, created a short business plan, prepared their ideas and then put them into practice for one day.
