New idea with old virtues - Master-PUR STEP MHR

Masterflex presents the new Master-PUR STEP MHR for the first time at Powtech 2005 - a further development of the Master-PUR STEP, a tread-resistant PU film hose with hollow profile spiral developed by Masterflex.

Kick-proof suction hoses that always stay in good shape!

Gelsenkirchen, September 26, 2005

Laying suction hoses on the ground is often unavoidable. Unfortunately, this is often associated with damage to the hose caused by falling, heavy objects, being trapped or run over. Conventional suction hoses, with inserted wire helix, often show permanent deformations even with minor external loads. This results in a reduction of the suction performance up to wear and closure of the hoses.

Many years ago, Masterflex AG was the first hose manufacturer to develop the Master-PUR STEP for this application - a crush-resistant, extremely flexible and abrasion-resistant film hose made of pure polyester polyurethane (more abrasion-resistant than comparable polyurethane according to DIN 53 516), which is used especially in the wood industry due to its low flammability according to DIN 4102 BI.

Masterflex AG, known for its innovative hose range, has meanwhile developed extensive problem-solving expertise through constant dialog with customers. Many of the new and further developments could only come about in this way.

The new Master-PUR STEP MHR hose combines new hose ideas with old virtues. The PU film hose is tread-proof, resistant to microbes and hydrolysis, and can be produced with an additionally incorporated grounding strand to dissipate electrostatic charges in accordance with BGR 132.

Like its predecessor Master-PUR STEP, the hose always straightens up again thanks to the integrated plastic profile helix, thus ruling out the possibility of it being run over or damaged by carelessness and ensuring a longer service life for the hoses. In applications where resistance to microbes and hydrolysis is required, this super lightweight, highly flexible and highly abrasion resistant Master-PUR film hose is used, such as on leaf suction equipment, as a lightweight suction hose on municipal vehicles, grass mowers, lawn sweepers and in many other applications.

Master-PUR STEP hoses have a temperature resistance of -40 °C to +125 °C and are available as standard in lengths of 10 meters and in nominal diameters from DN 60 to DN 250. They have excellent recovery properties, can withstand high mechanical stresses, are largely smooth on the inside and are therefore ideal in terms of flow.

Special versions of the two hose types (special lengths, other diameters) and samples can be requested from the manufacturer.

The constant new and further development of products will continue to be a priority for Masterflex. After all, "standstill is decline," according to the company's philosophy.

Convince yourself of the performance of our products.
