The Masterflex Group's two medical technology brands will be exhibiting thermoplastic molded parts, smooth hoses, injection molded parts and components for a wide range of medical technology applications in Hall 8 at Stand M 11.
As a special trade show highlight, Fleima-Plastic will present the first product samples of piercing mandrels made from a new glass-fiber-reinforced ABS grade with ISO approval. This new ABS grade was developed after several years of intensive cooperation with a well-known plastics manufacturer. Thanks to the glass fibers, it has an exceptionally high modulus of elasticity and greatly improved compressive, flexural, tensile and impact strength.
"Subsequent certifications of the end product become much easier as a result," explains Ismail Dogru, Technical Sales Consultant at Fleima-Plastic.
In addition to spikes, Fleima-Plastic also manufactures housings and caps from the novel material. "We expect the new material to become the standard for applications in the field of medical technology and, in particular, for spikes," says Manfred Seeber, sales manager at Novoplast Schlauchtechnik and Fleima-Plastic. Customer interest is already very high: "We are therefore looking forward to many more good discussions at the trade show," says Seeber.
