Novoplast Schlauchtechnik: Expansion of clean room capacities

The first conversion measures for expanding cleanroom capacity at the Halberstadt site are already underway.

Starting next year, extruded hoses and components for medical technology applications will be manufactured on a total area of 1,300 m2.

The Masterflex Group is investing a good two million euros in the project and is thus deliberately focusing on the expansion of German locations with a simultaneous increase in international customer orientation. In addition, further investments will be made in machinery and equipment in the following years.

As part of the Masterflex Group, Novoplast Schlauchtechnik specializes in extruded hoses for medical technology applications. An expansion of the clean room capacity had become necessary due to a steady increase in incoming orders.

"We also see the Masterflex Group's investment in the Halberstadt site as clear evidence of our performance and competitiveness," says Managing Director Jens Schopferer.

"In the future, in addition to hoses and components for medical technology applications, we want to offer more secondary processes such as the molding of tips and the forming or printing of components. This also requires more production space."

The Masterflex Group's medical technology division has seen a very positive demand trend in recent years.

Novoplast Schlauchtechnik has been producing in ISO Class 7 and 8 cleanrooms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644 since 2000. The new cleanrooms planned for the plant comply with ISO Class 8 and can also be designed for ISO Class 7 if required.

The first construction phase is scheduled for completion as early as September 2021.
