Gelsenkirchen, Germany, 22 October 2014 – From 12 to 14 November 2014, the two industry-renowned brands Novoplast Schlauchtechnik and Fleima-Plastic are presenting their products under the umbrella of the Masterflex Group at the COMPAMED trade fair in Dusseldorf. The leading international trade fair specialises in components, parts and raw materials for medical manufacturing. In Hall 08A at Booth M11, visitors can once again find out about the latest product innovations.
The exhibition highlights this year are hoses for infusion and micro-infusion made of a variety of biocompatible plastics. Biocompatible means that the material is suitable for contact with humans.
In addition, fill hoses for IV (intravenous) and nutrition bag systems as well as connectors for angiography are to be presented. In angiography, arteries, veins or lymphatic vessels can be shown using a diagnostic imaging procedure by adding a contrast agent. Both subsidiaries have many years of experience in medical technology. Novoplast Schlauchtechnik produces, for example, intricate extruded tubing and profiles with diameters ranging from 0.5 to 50 mm. Fleima-Plastic develops high-quality injection moulded parts and assemblies. By constructing their own moulds, Fleima-Plastic can manufacture precision injection moulds and quickly implement product changes.
Combined expertise in the fields of extrusion and injection moulding
Since the start of the year, the two subsidiaries of the Masterflex Group have been working very closely together in the field of medical technology due to similar customer requirements. Due to the systematic processing of projects through joint project management, they can therefore use their materials and processing expertise in the fields of extrusion and injection moulding in a targeted manner.
This results in system-oriented approaches, such as a set consisting of a medical technical hose and connector, drip chambers or roller clamps. Andreas Hankel, Sales Director for Medical Products at Masterflex Group says, “We can look at product-specific requirements of our clients as a whole and look forward to many interesting conversations at COMPAMED.”
