Masterflex AG receives top marks for Master-Clip TEFLON® EL hoses

The Master-Clip TEFLON® EL hoses, newly developed over the course of the last year, have passed their first acid test in continuous use. A large number of satisfied users give the hose type launched by Masterflex AG top marks.

The extraction of highly aggressive gaseous media is an issue primarily in the chemical industry. This does not only mean media that could attack the material of the hose, but also explosive gases, vapors, paint mist or solvents. Particularly in the case of the latter, risk-free and reliable extraction is of the utmost importance in order to guarantee the safety of the user. The special hose type Master-Clip TEFLON® EL was designed for this area of application.

The "EL" designates a special property of this hose: it is particularly suitable for use in hazardous areas where electrical conductivity is required in accordance with ATEX. ATEX is the abbreviation for "Atmosphère explosible" and is used as a synonym for the two European Community directives in the field of explosion protection, namely the ATEX Product Directive 94/9/EC and the ATEX Operating Directive 1999/92/EC.

In addition to electrical conductivity, Master-Clip TEFLON® EL hoses, like all other types in the Master-Clip series, have the smallest bending radii, can be compressed to approximately 1:6 and thus offer easy handling. They are cold and heat resistant and can be used in temperature ranges from -150°C to +280°C (+300°C for short periods). Nominal diameters from DN 55 to DN 2000 are available in standard production lengths of three and six meters. Special lengths and special designs with modified pitches and/or clamping profile thicknesses as well as clamping profiles made of VA (1.4512 or 1.4301) are also possible. A special clamping process provides a tension-resistant connection between the hose wall and the external scuff protection profile.
