The Masterflex Group's two medical technology brands will present solutions in the areas of extrusion, injection moulding and assembly.

Novoplast and Fleima at the Swiss Medtech Expo!

September 11th - 12th - Novoplast Schlauchtechnik and Fleima-Plastic will be presenting their expertise in the fields of extrusion, injection moulding and assembly at the Swiss Medtech Expo in Lucerne at Stand A 2024 in Hall 2.

For many years, the two medical technology brands of the Masterflex Group have successfully combined the production technologies of extrusion and injection moulding in demanding projects. In doing so, they draw on a wealth of experience in plastics processing, extensive material know-how and established manufacturing and joining processes under cleanroom conditions. The result is lightweight, efficient and customer-specific solutions.

In Halberstadt, polymer materials are processed into medical hoses by extrusion in clean rooms of ISO classes 6 to 8, and suitable connecting parts such as clamps, adapters, connectors or protective caps are manufactured in Wald-Michelbach by injection moulding.

The actual manufacturing process, the hose extrusion, can be individually adapted and an additional benefit or additional functions can be integrated into the hose via the use of materials or a combination of materials. For example, conductive elements such as wires or glass fibres can be incorporated into the hose to transmit information or light signals. Furthermore, functional additives of the plastic used can make UV-absorbing properties, antimicrobial behaviour or even a colour change during laser marking possible.
