Almost nothing has been normal in the economy since the coronavirus spread to Germany. While the automotive industry and mechanical and plant engineering, for example, are suffering considerably from the corona virus, there are other sectors that are profiting from the crisis. At Novoplast Schlauchtechnik, for example, corona is boosting production: Tubes from the clean room in Halberstadt are urgently needed for intensive medical applications such as drainage systems, central venous catheters and measuring lines. In order to be able to supply customers with these important components as quickly as possible, additional shifts have already been worked on the last two weekends. The early/late and night shifts were manned by employees from all departments: In addition to the colleagues from production, employees from the Extrusion Industrial Technology division and even from the administration department helped out.
